Seeing my ID photos with hijab in some documents, usually followed with a look at me and my buzz cut hair. "¡eres occidentalizada!" they would say me. And I wondered if they have ever thought that my hijab and their obsession with makeup, very tight outfits and high heel shoes are two sides of the same coin.
